Sustainability

We aim to exceed expectations and lead by example, operating in an ethical manner and working towards sustainable development goals.

Our Net Zero Plan is focused on achieving 100% use of green energy by 2030 for all of our product manufacture.

Further, in 2015 all Member States of the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The program defined 17 sustainable development goals which will stimulate action in areas of critical importance for humanity and the planet.

British Rototherm Group recognises these goals and identified those where we can make a measurable contribution. These are:

3. Good health and well-being

4. Quality Education

7. Affordable and clean energy

9. Industry, innovation and infrastructure

10. Reduced inequalities

12. Responsible consumption and production

13. Climate action

Installed 400 solar panels generating around 65% of our energy requirements

State of the art heating and lighting systems

Installed high efficiency transformers onto our CNC machines to reduce the power loss of energy coming off the network

Reduced consumption in out of hours by 75% through use of simple digital timers and improved temperature controls.

Minimise air losses to reduce loads on our compressors and avoid energy wastage

We review daily the amount of electricity generated and CO2 saved (Kg and M3).

At our 6-acre main manufacturing site, we promote bio-diversity through planting trees, develop wildlife/insects including managing a number of beehives for numerous years which have grown and enable us to produce our own honey for the workforce to share.

CULTURE & CAREERS

“You don’t build a business, you build people and then people build the business”

Zig Ziglar

We recruit and develop the most talented individuals, whether that’s in engineering, sales, service or support roles.

Working collaboratively across our global operation, we are a community, where teamwork is encouraged and clarity, mutual respect and understanding are key.

Our Number 1 principle is that we grow people. From the first day, to celebrating a 45th Anniversary, we are passionate about developing every single team member across the Group so they can succeed and thrive in their roles and meet or exceed their own career aspirations. We are driven by Continuous Improvement, and that starts with each team member and builds on their growth mindset.
